Veterinary Behavior Therapy
Dr. Curtis uses the most current scientific-based information to assess your pet and provide you with a treatment plan. House calls are preferred because they typically are the most relaxed for everyone – especially your pet! During the in-home consult, Dr. Curtis will observe your pet, discuss the completed history form, discuss your pet’s behavior and explain the reasons for its behaviors – in simple, easy-to-understand terms. The goal of the consult is to give you a comprehensive treatment plan – tools to improve your pet’s behavior for the better – setting everyone up for success! Each treatment plan is tailored specifically to you and your pet. If the treatment plan doesn’t work for you, your pet can’t benefit.
The initial in-home consultation fee covers 1 month of unlimited follow-up by telephone and/or email. Continued coverage is available from either your primary veterinarian [who is kept within the loop of consultation and treatment] or from Dr. Curtis for a monthly retainer fee. Each client should feel that they are in a continuous supportive relationship regardless of the follow-up option chosen.
